The Groton Conservation Trust recognizes that rapid climate change is occurring and its causes are dominated by human activities. We also understand that such significant and rapid changes represent a threat to the ecological resources of Groton and the region. Therefore, the GCT resolves to manage its properties to foster ecosystem resilience and carbon storage. With this resolution, we are elevating the local effects of climate change to one of our top priorities and a core mission of the Trust. We will dedicate our efforts to identifying vulnerable habitat resources, educating the public, applying nature-based solutions and supporting actions to increase resilience in our community.
